CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Funeral mass for Mrs. Alice S. Bauerle, 3120 Independence, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent's Church. The Rev. Kenneth E. Grass will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 6-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Mrs. Bauerle, 96 years old, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 1991, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.
She was born Nov. 29, 1894, in Cape, daughter of J. Frank and Mary Rolwing Schwepker. She married Edward J. Bauerle Oct. 12, 1918. He died Jan. 30, 1986.
Mrs. Bauerle graduated from St. Francis Young Ladies Academy, where she studied music. She played piano at the silent movies shown here. Mrs. Bauerle was a member of St. Vincent's Church and its Women's Council, and member of St. Francis Medical Center Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, James A. Bauerle of Cape; two daughters, Mary Cooper of Pulaski, Tenn., Judy Maupin of Kansas City, and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons and four sisters.
