PADUCAH, Ky. -- Alice Neiswonger Morse, 89, of Princeton, Ky., died Friday, April 3, 2009, at Paducah Nursing Center in Paducah.
She was born Jan. 20, 1920, in McClure, Ill., daughter of Jesse A. and Jennie Mae Murphy Colyer. She and Lee Woodrow Neiswonger where married Dec. 25, 1938 in Cape Girardeau. He died in 1964. Later she married Thomas Morse on Aug. 8, 1973, in Hopkinsville, Ky. He died in 2004.
She was a former member of Faith Lutheran Church in Hopkinsville and a member of the Methodist church in Princeton.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Milliken of New Castle, Del., Saundra Crombie of Spokane, Wash.; a son, Gary Neiswonger of Thorton, Colo.; a brother, Dr. Marvin Colyer of Farmington, Mo.; two sisters, Lois Burchyett of McClure, Ill., and Reatha Fogarty of Kirkwood, Mo.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David R. Neiswonger, on Feb. 13, 2007; first husband, Lee Woodrow Neiswonger; second husband, Thomas Morse; and three brothers, Emanuel Colyer, Jesse Colyer and Woodrow Colyer.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Carol Milliken and Saundrea Crombie officiating.
Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
Memorials may be made to breast cancer research or Alzheimer's Association.
