GRAY RIDGE, Mo. -- Alice R. Miller, 89, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at Vintage Villa Nursing Center in Dexter, Mo.
She was born Nov. 23, 1911, in Seabrook, Md., daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Mary Elizabeth Alvey Stewart Sr.
Miller lived in the Gray Ridge area most of her life. She was a secretary at Citizens Bank in Dexter many years, and a member of Essex First Baptist Church at Essex, Mo.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Miller of Ventura, Calif., Franklin Wannall of Orange Park, Fla., John Harrison of Upper Marlboro, Md.; two daughters, Lana Francis of Herculaneum, Mo., Kathleen Wamble of Essex; a sister, Louise Taylor of Telford, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and four sisters.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. O.H. Brookes and Dennis Ward officiating. Burial will be in Essex Cemetery.
