MOUNDS, Ill. -- Alice Mahoney, 88, of Mounds, died Thursday, March 24, 1994, in Metropolis. She was born April 17, 1905, in Mounds, daughter of Warren Erastus and Adelaide Rebecca Hawkins Crain. She and William Mahoney were married Oct. 15, 1937. He died Nov. 16, 1979...

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Alice Mahoney, 88, of Mounds, died Thursday, March 24, 1994, in Metropolis.

She was born April 17, 1905, in Mounds, daughter of Warren Erastus and Adelaide Rebecca Hawkins Crain. She and William Mahoney were married Oct. 15, 1937. He died Nov. 16, 1979.

Mahoney was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mounds, Pulaski County Home Extension, Pulaski-Alexander County Farm Bureau, Pulaski County Teachers Association, and a certified ceramics teacher.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Mounds.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Jerry Herring officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Crain Funeral Home of Ullin is in charge of arrangements.
