Alice Grace

MILLER CITY, Ill. -- Alice Grace, 84, of Miller City died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 15, 1923, in Cleveland, Okla., daughter of Carl and Rosa Birkner Pilkington. She married Eugene Grace April 3, 1945. He preceded her in death Dec. 2, 1997.

She was a member of Lake Milligan Baptist Church. She assisted her husband in the operation of the family farm.

Survivors include a daughter, Sheryl Masterson of Miller City; a son, Dennis Grace of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; two sisters, Carol Ann Chapman of Centralia, Ill., Ethel Yearwood of Mount Vernon, Ill.; a brother, Paul Pilkington of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother.

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens with Jeanne Hoffman officiating.

Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
