ALICE GILMORE

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Alice Sue Gilmore, 89, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at Elder Care in Marble Hill.

She was born Oct. 24, 1910, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of Roger Guy and Nellie Ruth Knight Barbee. She and Clifton H. Gilmore were married Jan. 30, 1928. He died May 31, 1993.

Gilmore was a meat packer several years. She attended New Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors include four grandsons, Mike Gilmore and Haunce Hansen of St. Charles, Mo., Bill Gilmore of Byron, Ga., Eric Hansen of St. Louis; a granddaughter, Diane Hansen of Wildwood, Mo.; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, and a sister.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from noon to 1:45 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Sargent officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
