NAPLES, Fla. -- Alice Marie Bird Eby, 90, passed away Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, in Naples. Prior to moving to Naples in 1999, she was a resident of Matthews, Mo.
She was born Sept. 19, 1914, in Springfield, Ark., the daughter of the late Ernest Thomas and Myra Miller Bird.
She was a member of the Springfield, Ark., Baptist Church and an active member in the Extension Club in Missouri. She was an avid antique collector. She also had a love for music and was a talented pianist.
On Aug. 21, 1940, she married Loyd William Eby; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Stephanie Eby of Naples; and one stepdaughter, Alyce Faye Mabrey of O'Fallon, Mo.
Her stepson, Charles Eby, five sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, Mo., from 5 to 8 p.m. today. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. William "Bill" Koch, senior pastor of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, will be officiating.
Buiral will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
