Alice Laverne Eaker, 74, of Paris, Ill., died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at Paris Community Hospital.
She was born Sept. 25, 1933, at Sank, Mo., daughter of Orville and Myrtle Chadd Myers. She and the Rev. Curtis Lindbergh Eaker were married May 6, 1947, in Pocahontas, Ark.
Eaker worked several years at U.O. Colson Co. in Paris. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Michael Eaker of Lewistown, Ill., Allen Eaker of Paris; a daughter, Beth Ruff of Paris; five brothers, Orville Myers of Marble Hill, Mo., Paul Myers of Wood River, Ill., Irving Myers of Dexter, Mo., Eudell Myers of Bethalto, Ill., Bill Myers of Jackson; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday at Templeton Funeral Home in Paris.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery in Paris.
