NEW MADRID, Mo. -- Alice Maxine Barron, 78, of Loranger, La., died Saturday, May 5, 2007, at her home.
She was born Oct. 18, 1928, in New Madrid, daughter of Jack and Florence Mast Masterson. She married Frank Barron, who preceded her in death.
Barron attended New Madrid High School, then worked at a small arms plant and McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis. She was a lifelong member of the United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include five daughters, LeeAnna Fitzgerel of Salt Lake City, Betty Hunter of Indianapolis, Judi Williamson of Dyersburg, Tenn., Barbara Schmidt of Cahokia, Ill., Michelle Huggins of Loranger; two sons, James and Richard Ford of Loranger; three sisters, Geraldine Rodgers of Cape Girardeau, Nadine Vent of New Madrid, Carolyn Vent of St. Louis; and a brother, Paul Masterson of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the United Pentecostal Church in New Madrid, with the Rev. Orville McKinney officiating. Burial will be in Mounds Park Cemetery.
