PATTON -- Algerene "Bean" Mayfield, 72, of Patton, died Thursday, June 6, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 7, 1924, at Mayfield, daughter of Homer H. and Marie Mayfield. She and Marell "Toots" Mayfield were married Nov. 22, 1946.
Mayfield worked 13 years at International Shoe Co. in Chaffee, and had been a cook at Patton Schools. She was a member of Little Whitewater Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Donnie Mayfield of Farmington, Richard Mayfield of Jackson; her mother of Patton; three brothers, Gerald Mayfield of Sedgewickville, Jerry Mayfield of Patton, Donald Mayfield of Jackson; a sister, Verda Angle of Jackson; a grandchild; several foster children and foster grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and an infant sister.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Pulliam Cemetery.
