CROSSTOWN -- Alfred John Steffens, 72, of Crosstown, died Thursday, March 16, 1995, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 19, 1923, at Crosstown, son of U.K. and Hilda Steffens Wahlers.
Steffens was a farmer and retired truck driver with Johnny Bishop Poultry. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
Survivors include two daughters, Bobbie Faye of Vermont, Patti Steffens of Texas; five half brothers, Raymond Wahlers of Festus, Floyd and Leon Wahlers of Perryville, Donald and Ronald Wahlers of Jackson; five half sisters, Erna Medlock of Colorado, Stella Smith and Sandra Turlin of Perryville, Elsie Crossland of Arnold, and Ginger Smith of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by two half brothers and a half sister.
Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Church, with the Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd officiating.
Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville is in charge of arrangements.
