ALFRED CLIFTON

JACKSON -- Alfred R. Clifton, 86, of Jackson died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at Heritage Gardens.

He was born March 18, 1912, in Wilmington, Del., son of Howard and Beulah Green Clifton. He and Inus Warner were married June 29, 1932. She died Aug. 18, 1975.

Clifton had worked at the boat docks, Malgomated Leather Co., Bancroft Inc., and Speakman Plumbing Factory, all in Delaware.

He lived in Orlando, Fla., from 1971-76.

Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Illers of Jackson; a son, Wayne Clifton of Jacksonville, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a stepgrandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, daughter, and grandchild.

There is no visitation or service.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson was in charge of local arrangements.
