ALFRED C. WOODS

EAST PRAIRIE -- Alfred C. Woods, 74, of East Prairie, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 1992, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

He was born Nov. 5, 1917, in Russellville, Ark., son of Albert Thomas and Lillie May Branch Woods. He and Nona Henderson were married in 1938.

Woods was a retired farmer, and veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife; six sons, Jackie Woods of Indio, Calif., Billy and Robert Woods of Hickman, Ky., Hulan Woods of Charleston, Alfred and Gary Woods of Pontiac, Mich.; three daughters, Bobby Rouse of Kennett, Janice Martin of Warren, Mich., Mary Ramall of Pontiac; a brother, Kenneth Woods of Greenbriar, Ark.; 22 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral srevice will be at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Amos Johnson will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park.
