PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Alex W. Parham, 90, formerly of Perryville died Thursday, July 13, 2000, at Sunny Crest Nursing Home in Dysart, Iowa.
He was born Sept. 26, 1909, in St. Louis, son of Jefferson Davis and Alice W. Kepner Parham. He and Blanche G. Mattingly were married Aug. 23, 1948. She died Nov. 23, 1993.
Parham was a bartender and had worked at Bush's Grove in Ladue, Mo. He was a former member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Holy Name Society.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Anna Fiedler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent's Church. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Young and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
