SCOTT CITY -- Alene Gertrude Foulk, 79, of Scott City died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born July 1, 1920, at Blodgett, daughter of Arthur and Estella Patton Penrose. She and William Henry Foulk were married Sept. 10, 1936, at Jackson. He died April 20, 1999.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Foulk of Cape Girardeau, Bill Foulk of Scott City and Thomas Foulk of Rockview; two daughters, "Norma Jean" Schoeppel of Clearwater, Kan. and Theresa Ruopp of Pocahontas; three brothers, Ernest Penrose of De Soto, Russell Penrose of Jackson and Carl Penrose of St. Louis; two sisters, Marie Schrader of St. Louis and Evelyn Waters of Alton, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Scott City.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Owens officiating. Burial will be at Lightner Cemetery.
