Alberta "Birdie" M. McAllister, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girar-deau.
She was born Aug. 3, 1933, at St. Louis, daughter of Albert and Clara Welker Warner. She and Joe McAllister were married Feb. 2, 1972, at St. Louis.
McAllister was at one time the owner of the Pony Tavern and was a former member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Keith, Kenny and Tracy Jones of Cape Girar-deau and Greg McAllister of Gale, Ill.; five sisters, Evelyn Warner of Cape Girardeau, Nadine Wells of Glenallen, Mo., Peggy Warner and Jacqueline Brown of Marble Hill, Mo., and Sharon Cook of Chaffee, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in the Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
