MCCLURE, Ill. -- Funeral service for Mrs. Alberta J. Roy Rymer of McClure, Ill. will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
The Revs. Randy Morgan and J.C. Mattox will officiate and burial will be in the Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.
Mrs. Rymer died Saturday at her home. She was 71.
She was born Feb. 10, 1919 at Blodgett, the daughter of George and Lucinda Groves Johnson.
On Feb. 16, 1937, she married Ernest F. Roy at Jonesboro Ill. He preceded her in death Oct. 21, 1968. She then married Norman Rymer Jan. 15, 1977 at Anna, Ill. He survives.
She was a lifetime resident of McClure and a member of the Reynoldsville Baptist Church.
Other survivors include a son, Robert Roy of McClure; a stepson Bill Rymer of Chester, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret McCain of McClure; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Jean Tate of Mt. Vernon, Ill. and Mrs. Lois Prater of McClure; two sisters, Mrs. Christina Matlock of Corpus Christi, Texas and Mrs. Margaret Stafford of Columbia, Ill.; four grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.
Two brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
