PERRYVILLE -- Funeral Mass for Albert H. Winkler of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent's Catholic Church. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Sunday, and 6:30-9:50 a.m. Monday. The parish wake and KC service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, and the rosary will be at 9 a.m. Monday.
Winkler, 71, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 27, 1926, at Uniontown, son of Hugo F. and Anna M. Meyer Winkler. He and Rita T. Schott were married June 28, 1947, at Perryville.
Winkler owned and operated Winkler Service Station and Wrecker Service 48 years, retiring in June 1995. He was a member of St. Vincent's Church, Holy Name Society, and was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Wanda Guth of Tucson, Ariz., Judy Schaaf of Ironton, Brenda Eggers of Perryville, Sheila Bodenschatz of St. Louis; four brothers, Barney, Arthur and Linus "Buddy" Winkler of Perryville, Tony Winkler of Jackson; two sisters, Marie Reese of St. Louis, Frieda Cissell of Perryville; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and three brothers.
