SIKESTON, Mo. -- Albert Thomas, 84, of Sikeston died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. He was born Oct. 1, 1920, in Woodruff County, Ark., son of Albert and Essie Mae Bell Thomas. He and Ellen Jewel Thomas were married Oct. 3, 1948. She died Oct. 22, 1996...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Albert Thomas, 84, of Sikeston died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 1, 1920, in Woodruff County, Ark., son of Albert and Essie Mae Bell Thomas. He and Ellen Jewel Thomas were married Oct. 3, 1948. She died Oct. 22, 1996.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda York of Indianapolis, Ind., Ruth Thomas of St. Louis; a son, Andrew Thomas of St. Louis; two sisters, Lucy Riddle of Memphis, Tenn., Bertha Riddle of Little Rock, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Christ Sanctuary Church of God in Christ at Bell City, Mo., from 11 a.m. Saturday until time of service. Graveside service will be at noon at J.C. Pullen Memorial Garden Cemetery in Bell City.

Williams Funeral Home in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
