CAIRO, Ill. -- Albert Mier, 91, of Cairo, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 12, 1901 in New Hamburg, son of Joseph and Philomenia Dirnberger Mier.
He was a salesman for Heil Beauty Supply Co. of Paducah, Ky. He retired in July 1977.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Elks Lodge in Cairo.
Survivors include one nephew, Leroy Mier of Oran Route 1; and three nieces, Rita Shaffer of Oran, and Leevada Hinkebein and Leeada Sheeley, both of Chaffee.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 6 p.m. today. Parish prays will be held at 7:30 tonight.
Friends may call from 9-9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. There will be an Elks service at 9:30 a.m. at the church.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's, with burial to follow in St. Ambrose Catholic Church Cemetery at Chaffee.
