PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Albert E. "Bud" Klein, 75, of Perryville died Friday, July 25, 2003, at Perry County Nursing Home.
He was born July 27, 1927, at Kaskaskia Island, Ill., son of Edward Henry and Carrie Monks Klein. He and Mae M. DeRousse were married June 24, 1950, at Kaskaskia Island.
Klein was a machinist at Mississippi Lime Co. 40 years, and also farmed. He was a life member of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., VFW Post 2210 and American Legion Post 133 in Perryville. He was a member of St. Mary's Country Music Associates Inc., and was a volunteer at St. Mary Senior Citizens Center.
He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Wibbenmeyer and Brenda Klein of Perryville; a sister, Rosalie Schweigert of Ste. Genevieve; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Saturday. A VFW service will be held at 11, followed by an American Legion service.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Kasznel officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date.
