Albert L. "Tubby" Estes, 71, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, in Cape Girardeau. He was born July 24, 1947, in Cape Girardeau to the late Albert A. and Anita Cato Estes. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968 and attended Southeast Missouri State University. Albert L. "Tubby" Estes, 71, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 24, 1947, in Cape Girardeau to the late Albert A. and Anita Cato Estes.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968 and attended Southeast Missouri State University. He was an electrician for Fru-Con Construction Co. and worked for Kelley Equipment and Southern Pacific Railroad. He attended True Vine Ministries in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include his two daughters, Pamela (Tracy) Selvy of Cordova, Tennessee, and Karmon Estes of St. Louis; a son, Korey (Tiffany) Estes of St. Louis; a sister, Martha "Pat" Estes of Philadelphia; a brother, Robert (Bret) Estes of Baltimore; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Christian Cannady.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Nov. 3 at True Vine Ministries, 1224 Bloomfield St., in Cape Girardeau.

A home-going celebration will be at noon Nov. 3 at the church, with Pastor Byron Bonner officiating. Burial, with full military rites, will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 5 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
