EUREKA, Mo. — Albert Dane Drake Jr., 76, of Eureka died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at St. Andrew's at Francis Place.
He was born Sept. 1, 1946, in Halfway, Missouri, to Albert Dane Drake Sr. and Mary Gladys Fletoffe. He and Mary Prevallet Drake were married at Manchester, Missouri, on Feb. 14, 1990.
He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was a yard master with BNSF Railroad.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Alan (Jennifer) Drake of Bonner Springs, Kansas, and Brian Drake of Salem, Missouri; stepson, Rick Prevallet of Cass County, Missouri; brother, Gary (Janet) Drake of Halfway; four grandchildren, Kayla Horn, Ian Drake, Elaina Drake and Taylor Dillon; and one great-grandchild, Iris Dillon.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Bradley V. Prevallet; two brothers, George and Johnny Jarman; and two sisters, Patricia Ankrom and LeEtta Farmer.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Missouri Department of Mental Health Parents Advisory Committee, United Transportation Union or American Legion Post No. 400.
