AL SEBEK

Funeral Mass for Albert Anton "Al" Sebek of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's Cathedral. Msgr. Richard Rolwing will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park, with military rites to be conducted by the Delta Team.

Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Sebek, 82, died Monday, July 3, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Dec. 10, 1917, in St. Louis, son of Anton and Mary Rhebek Sebek. He and Dorothy L. Brooks were married June 25, 1938.

Sebek retired as a driver with a trucking company. He also was an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department many years.

He was a corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Sebek was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, Knights of Columbus and American Legion.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Joseph A. Sebek of Cape Girardeau, and a brother, Anton J. Sebek of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by a sister.
