ADVANCE, Mo. -- Agnes Ellen Sturgeon Corbin, 99, of Advance passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2019. She was born March 8, 1919, in Townley, Missouri, daughter of William Joseph and Melola Eaker Myers. She first married Elmer Franklin Sturgeon on March 3, 1934, and he passed away July 10, 1995. She later married Claud Corbin on June 30, 1997, and he passed away Jan. 1, 2014...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Agnes Ellen Sturgeon Corbin, 99, of Advance passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2019.

She was born March 8, 1919, in Townley, Missouri, daughter of William Joseph and Melola Eaker Myers. She first married Elmer Franklin Sturgeon on March 3, 1934, and he passed away July 10, 1995. She later married Claud Corbin on June 30, 1997, and he passed away Jan. 1, 2014.

Agnes was a homemaker and a member of Advance United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children, John Franklin Sturgeon of Park Hills, Missouri, Corrine Leadbetter of Festus, Missouri, Norma Jean Moore of Fruitland and Karen Kaye (Jackie) Patton of Perryville, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Melola Myers; husbands, Elmer Sturgeon and Claud Corbin; son, Charles Everett Sturgeon; brothers, Orville and Johnie Myers; sisters, Norma Crites, Alda Fisher and Rachell Shell; and sons-in-law, Kenneth Leadbetter and Larry Moore.

The family would like to thank Agnes' granddaughter, Missy Patton Boxdorfer, for fixing mother's hair.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Missouri.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Ainley and Derek Boxdorfer officiating. Interment will take place in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
