PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Adrian William Moll, 84, of Perryville died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 9, 1923, at Biehle, Mo., son of Albert Thomas and Ida Barbara Ernst Moll. He and Vera Eileen Barks were married Nov. 24, 1943, at Biehle.

Moll was owner/operator of Moll Electric more than 50 years, retiring in 1994.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Judy Weeks of O'Fallon, Mo.; three sons, Terry Moll of Canon City, Colo., Dale Moll of Milwaukee, Michael Moll of Morton, Ill.; four brothers, Gerald, Thomas, and Albert Moll, all of Perryville, Joseph Moll of Biehle; a sister, Eugenia Steffens of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Holy Name Society and 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus.

He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army from Feb. 26, 1943, to April 13, 1946, serving with Company B, 397th Infantry Division. He received a Bronze Star and other medals of recognition.

Moll served on the draft board for over five years, was a member of American Legion Post 133, VFW Post 4282 and IBEW. As an active member of the community he served as president of the Lion's Club, Perryville Jaycees and Development Corp. He was the first Cub Scout master of Perryville Pack 155. He was also a board member of Sheltered Workshop and Perryville Country Club.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. Parish and Knights of Columbus wake will be at 7 p.m. Friday, and the rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
