Adren Adams

PERRY COUNTY, Mo. -- Adren E. Adams, 98, formerly of Lithium, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

He was born Feb. 2, 1910, in Lithium, son of William and Zeba Preston Adams. He and Mary A. Brown were married May 6, 1930. She died Sept. 4, 1998.

Adams was retired from the maintenance department at Rockwell Airport. He was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church in Lithium.

Survivors include a son, Robert Adams of Perryville, Mo.; a sister, Ruth Hunt of Perryville; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; a daughter; five brothers; and a sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 6:30 a.m. to time of service Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Hank Grodecki officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Lithium.
