UNIONTOWN -- Adolph A. Unterreiner, 87, of Uniontown, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 1996, at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton.

He was born June 19, 1908, at Uniontown, son of John E. and Josephine Winchel Unterreiner. He and Ethel Ann Schumer were married in 1944 in Sacramento, Calif.

Unterreiner had worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone and AT&T 45 years. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers, and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bridgeton. He was a master sergeant in the Signal Corps during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, the Rev. James Unterreiner of Ironton, and a sister, Gertrude Balsmann of Uniontown.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.

His body was donated to science at St. Louis University.

A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's in Bridgeton.
