SIKESTON -- Adolph Miller Sr., 87, of Sikeston died Saturday, Dec. 6, 1997, at Missouri Delta Hospital.
He was born Jan. 7, 1910, in Morehouse, son of Daniel Otis and Orpha Belle Jackson Miller. He married Carrie E. Williams on Dec. 23, 1933, at Malden. She died Dec. 21, 1995.
Miller was employed for 20 years as a roofer for Pyramid Roofing Co. He was a member of North Acres General Baptist Church and a 50-year member of the Malden Masonic Lodge 406 AF & AM.
Survivors include a son, C.A. Miller Jr. of Malden; two daughters, Patricia Dabbs of Memphis, Tenn., and Shelia Hawkins of Sikeston; four brothers, D.O. and Edward Miller, both of Malden, and Julian and Oscar Miller, both of Risco; a sister, Mary McConnell of Gideon; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. James Trotter officiating. Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery in Malden.
