ADELE GROVES

EAST PRAIRIE -- Adele Groves, 68, of East Prairie died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at her home.

She was born Nov. 19, 1930, in East Prairie, daughter of Curtis C. and Mae Vaughn Pritchett. She and Marshall Groves were married Aug. 27, 1950, in East Prairie.

Groves lived in Mississippi County all her life. She was a member of First General Baptist Church and was song leader many years.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Dwaine Groves of Jonesboro, Ark.; three brothers, Verlon and Vernon Pritchett of East Prairie, William Pritchett of Wynn, Ark.; four sisters, Dorothy Masters of Moscow Mills, Helen Jenkins, Barbara Stinnett and Vivian Ward, all of East Prairie.

She was preceded in death by a grandson and a brother.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Williams officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
