CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Ada Myers, 82, of Charleston died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo. She was born Nov. 11, 1918, in Charleston, daughter of Charles W. and Corinne Williams Hequembourg. She and Carl W. Myers Jr. were married Feb. 11, 1940. He died March 18,1992...

CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Ada Myers, 82, of Charleston died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

She was born Nov. 11, 1918, in Charleston, daughter of Charles W. and Corinne Williams Hequembourg. She and Carl W. Myers Jr. were married Feb. 11, 1940. He died March 18,1992.

Myers was a lifelong resident of Charleston. She was deputy recorder of deeds at Mississippi County Courthouse for 20 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and had been a Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include a son, Bill Myers of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Suzanne Warren of Charleston, Mossie Schallon of Ballwin, Mo., Julie Moore of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Charles Hequembourg of Daytona Beach, Fla.; three sisters, Hortense Montage of Winchester, Tenn., Martha Green of Bowling Green, Mo., Adele Atteberry of Charleston; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church. The Revs. Richard Combs and Gerald Collier will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
