SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Ada Gay Crawford of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home, with the Rev. Cline Ables officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Crawford, 90, died Tuesday, June 6, 1995, at Miner Nursing Center.

She was born Feb. 11, 1905, in Pollard, Ark., daughter of Felix Henry and Mary Maggie Lee Wright Grissom. She and Prentice E. Crawford were married July 16, 1927. He died Oct. 3, 1954.

Crawford attended First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two sons, Jewell Crawford of Sikeston, Bobby Crawford of Flat Rock, Mich.; three daughters, Ruby Oliver and Velma Litchford of Sikeston, Thelma Johnson of Jackson; a sister, Hattie Hackney of Fruitport, Mich.; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and daughter.
