BLOOMFIELD -- Ada Barfield, 89, formerly of Bloomfield, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 1991, in New Florence.

She was born Aug. 10, 1901, at Mill Spring, daughter of Seaborn and Alice Williams Blackwell. She married C. Roy Barfield May 3, 1925, who died Sept. 4, 1968.

Survivors include a son, Charles Barfield of St. Peters; two sisters, Bessie Hoseli of Buffalo, Mo., Georgia Rayfield of Ellington; a grandson and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, seven brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel. Kenneth Gaines will officiate, with burial in Walker Cemetery near here.
