ORAN, Mo. — Aaron James Lovel, 25, passed away Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 31, 1997, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He lived in Oran at the time of his death with his dog, Spike.
Aaron is typically described as fearless, eccentric, funny and caring. He never knew a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Aaron was almost always seen attached to his Paw Paw Lovel's hip and did everything with him, including mowing lawns, hunting and fishing. After graduating from Scott County Central High School in 2015, he went on to organize a lawn mowing service with his Paw Paw Lovel. He also worked as an assistant manager for Sikeston Restaurant Equipment.
In his 25 years of life, Aaron touched many individuals with his kindness and goofy sense of humor. He always made sure you had a smile on your face. He is already greatly missed.
Aaron is survived by both parents, James Jr. and Chasity Lovel. of Morley, Missouri; sister, Katelyn Lovel; and future brother-in-law, Wyatt Blattel of Jackson. Aaron is also survived by his paternal grandparents, James Sr. and Wanda Lovel of Morley; his maternal grandparents, Steve and Carolyn Brotherton of Jackson; and multiple aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind several friends and loved ones.
A celebration of life ceremony will be at 5 p.m. Sept. 27 at Morley Baptist Church.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
