Aaron Lynn Barks, 36, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Corning, Arkansas.
He was born April 17, 1981, in Chicago, the son of Lynn David and Patricia Smith Barks.
Aaron was a 2000 graduate of Woodland High School in Marble Hill, Missouri. He was a member of Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church near Zalma, Missouri. He attended Connection Point Church in Jackson. He was a truck driver for Rider Do It Best. He enjoyed spending time with his children, farming, fishing and smoking meat.
Aaron and Heather Burchett were united in marriage May 28, 2005, at Zalma, and she survives of the home.
Aaron and his wife, Heather, are foster parents and have cared for more than 40 children.
Loving survivors include his wife, Heather Barks; his mother, Patricia Barks of Jackson; two sons, Grant Fox of Evansville, Indiana, and Eli Barks of the home; a daughter, Hinley Barks of the home; a sister, Heather (Matt) Smith of Blue Springs, Missouri; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gary and Ruby Burchett of Zalma.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, Missouri.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Chris Vaught officiating and the Rev. Lewis Scott assisting.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to an education fund for his children at US Bank.
