Lynn Rubright, an internationally known storyteller will present a storytelling performance as part of the Zonta organization's "Literacy: Key to Discovery" series.
She will perform "Mind Magic" at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cape Civic Center, 232 Broadway. Rubright was a coordinator for Project TELL, a government-funded program to teach reading and writing through storytelling.
Rubright also teaches at Webster University in St. Louis. She is a co-founder of the St. Louis Storytelling Festival and founder of the Metro Theater Co. in St. Louis.
During the summer, the Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau sponsored five programs that emphasized the importance of literacy. Rubright's performance is the final presentation.
