Zalma man charged with child molestation

BENTON, Mo. -- A Bollinger County man was in custody Friday on sex-related charges, including two counts of child molestation, according to Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter.

Ronnie G. Lemons, 57, of Zalma, Mo., is also charged with first-degree statutory sodomy and was being held on $50,000 bond. The investigation began in July, Walter said, when a deputy responded to a property damage incident and was made aware of the sexual abuse allegations. An investigation was conducted, which led to Lemons being charged.

Lemons was arrested Thursday and transferred to the Scott County Jail in Benton.
