Taking off: Working to get a good jump on the ball, JAYF players worked out Thursday, during a drill. The first practice will be held Sat., Aug. 19, at the Jackson Middle School for all players and will start at 9-11 a.m. Future practice schedules will be handed out that day.

Pads: Local youth will not have to leave town to get tackle football training this year. Area youth are donning pads as part of the JAYF league. The first game day is scheduled for Sept. 16 and the season will run through Oct. 28. Sign-ups for cheerleaders will be set soon.
