YOUTH FISHING DAY

The Cape Girardeau Parks & Recreation Department will sponsor the sixth annual Youth Catch and Release Fishing Day on June 1 at Capaha Park.

Children ages 1-15 are invited to test their fishing skills while enjoying a fun-filled day at the free fishing event.

There will be many door prizes, including four Zebco rod and reels, two Magnum tackle boxes and other fishing gear. Some bait will be provided but participants are encouraged to furnish their own bait and pole.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided by the Breakfast Optimist Club, who will also conduct a casting contest.

An adult is requested to accompany each child.
