Enrollment in summer art classes offered by the Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts will close Monday.
The classes are oepn to youths between the ages of 6 and 17. They may enroll for a morning (8:30-11:30 a.m.) or afternoon (1-4 p.m.) session.
Fees are $40 per class. They will be held at the Art Building at Southeast Missouri State University.
The class called "Dream & Draw," which will emphasize use of the imagination, will be held July 5-9.
"The Wonderful Worlds of Color," which will focus on observing nature and the living environment, will be presented July 12-16.
"Arts Extravaganza" will offer drawing, painting and sculpture July 26-30.
Carol Horst of Jackson and Brenda Seyer of Cape Girardeau teach the classes. Both have masters degrees in art education and have taught the classes for several years.
