Your New Year's Eve guide, sort of

Planning to get smashed this New Year's Eve, or just to spend the night scheming on that midnight kiss? Let OFF! Magazine be your guide to New Year's entertainment.

(Some places didn't have their entertainment booked yet by our print deadline, but we're throwing them in anyway).

River City Yacht Club:

The Mike Renick Band and Nebulous will rock out the Yacht Club on New Year's Eve starting at 9 p.m.

Parents Without Partners:

Single parents looking for a fun time outside the bars can check out the Parents Without Partners Singles Dance at the American Legion Hall in Cape Girardeau from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Bring your own drinks and snacks, but dancing music will be provided.

Breakaways:

Ninth Life will rock the New Year's Eve Party at Breakaways starting at 9 p.m.

Broussard's:

The Melroys come home again for a New Year's Eve date at their Cape Girardeau base at 9 p.m.

Buckner Brewing Co.:

The plans haven't been made yet, but you can bet that Buckner's will have some mellow tunes on New Year's Eve.

California Juice Club:

Last year the California Juice Club offered some unique New Year's Eve entertainment with Greek dancing. This year's offering is yet unknown, but we have assurances that there will be some bands and stuff.

Lodos:

Cape's favorite (and only) Martini bar will definitely be open for New Year's Eve, and Wooden Ships won't harsh your mellow.

The Turnpike (formerly Players):

Pizzasaurus Rex, Squad Car and Rock Solid bring hard rock to New Year's Eve in a no-cover show at 9 p.m.

Enchanted Forest:

Teens looking for an all-ages, no alcohol show can visit the Enchanted Forest on New Year's Eve to hear the hip sounds of Fists of Phoenix and Last Day Fighting, along with other bands to be announced.

Show starts at 6 p.m. and runs through midnight.
