Six grade school students have won Six Flags Tickets in the YELL (Youth, Education, Literacy and Learning) Favorite Book Contest, conducted recently.

The fourth grade winners were Tara Allee, Alexandra Wieser and Heather Davidson, all students at Trinity Lutheran School in Cape Girardeau.

Fifth grade winners were Dustin Koch, Trinity Lutheran School; Daniel Leimbach and Jamie Egan, both of Jackson North Elementary.

Students had to write a brief synopsis of their favorite book and why they felt other children would enjoy reading the book.

Three winners were selected from the fourth and fifth grades.

No sixth grade students entered the contest.
