The June 17 meeting of the Young Americans 4-H Club was held at Grace Methodist Church, with 10 members, nine leaders and eight guests present.
Joey Ruble presided and the roll call was answered by naming "your favorite type of exercise." A report on Clover Kid Camp was given. Members agreed it had been a fun day and planned to do it again.
Before the business meeting was held, local achievement was recognized, with 10 members giving demonstrations. They were Clay Illers, Jessica Schabbing, Veronica Schabbing, Robert Fornkahl, Meagan Fornkahl, Joey Rubel, Erica Schabbing, Lindsey Ostendorf, Cortney Ostendorf and Andrew Telle.
The judges, Sarah Heuer and Amy Kirchdoerfer, handed out ribbons. Megan Fornkahl and Jessica Schabbing will represent the club in grooming with Joey Rubel and Corntey Ostendorf being alternates.
The meeting was adjourned with refreshments. being served by the club. The group sang "I've got that 4-H spirit" before departing.
