It all started when their son went nuts when he saw homes decorated for Christmas. That's when Randy and Rhonda Welker began making Christmas yard ornaments.

Their son Ryan now five can step outside when he wants to see a house beautifully decorated for Christmas.

"This is our fourth year," Randy Welker said.

"We've had a lot of people down this year."

The yard has 100 Christmas yard ornaments all made by the Welker's in their garage and home.

This year they started putting the ornaments up on Nov. 10 and finished Thanksgiving night.

There are also thousands of lights strung abou the yard.

"It makes you feel good."

The ornaments will be up until New Year's Day, Welker said.

The ornaments on display in Welker's yard on the corner of Forest and Walnut streets in Jackson are varied and are not for sale.

A nativity scene, Santa Claus, reindeer, elves, angels, snow people, a Christmas Tree with dalmations and many more decorations can be viewed at the Welker's home.

This year they added 30-35 pieces.

They order the patterns and make them in the garage and they are painted in the house.

Each piece has about 30-40 hours invested in them, according to Welker.

"We are hoping to add at least 20 more next year."
