JACKSON -- Author Lorena Shell Eaker will sign books and lecture April 19. Her topic will be the migration of German-speaking people from Old Lincoln County, N.C., to the Old Cape Girardeau District.
The book signing will begin at 1 p.m. at the Riverside Regional Library in Jackson. The lecture will begin at 2 p.m.
Eaker is the author of "The Shoe Cobbler's Kin: A Genealogy of the Peter Eaker Sr. Family: German Speaking People West of the Catawba River in North Carolina 1750-1800," and "One Step at a Time, a Definitive Study of Alzheimer's Disease and a Practical Guide for Caregivers."
