The Department of Human Environmental Studies at Southeast Missouri State University will offer two Workshops on Wheels.
At 7 p.m. Tuesday, Judy Lueders will present "Nutritious Snacks Children Can Make" at the Kinder Care Learning Center, 113 Silver Springs Rd. in Cape Girardeau.
Through demonstration, explanation and hands-on activities, she will guide participants through the cooking process. A handout with recipes will be available.
All area home and center child-care providers, early childhood teachers, students and parents are invited to attend. To pre-register, call Kaye at 335-3888.
At 7 p.m. Thursday, Dr. Gail Overbey will present "Issues in Blended Families" at the St. Mary Early Education Center, 607 William St. in Cape Girardeau.
This workshop will focus on the needs and challenges of parents and children living in stepfamilies.
Overbey will explore issues relating to bonding, loyalty conflicts and stepparent/stepchild relationships. To pre-register, call Jan at 335-7150.
