"It is our intention to allow traffic from Kage Road to go through the Ashland Hills Subdivision while the construction takes place," Lester said.

Reconstruction of the intersection will include widening the roadway, as well as construction of curbs, gutters and a detention basin.

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of September at a cost of $202,000.

The project is part of the transportation trust fund program, funded by sales tax money.
