Work planned on three state highways in Cape Girardeau County

Three state highways in Cape Girardeau County will be closed or be under traffic restrictions today as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform maintenance. Route P will be closed from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. between County Road 268 and County Road 272 while crews replace a pipe under the road. Route U between County Road 371 and Route RA will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., also for pipe replacement. And Highway 34 will be restricted to one lane of traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. from County Road 343 to Route UU while crews patch the road and perform shoulder work. All work zones will be marked with signs.
