Work to replace the Highway 72 bridge in Bollinger County will begin Monday, according to a news release from the Missouri Department of Transportation. The bridge is 2.5 miles west of the Highway 51 junction at Patton, Mo. The project will begin with preparatory work, followed by the construction of a bridge bypass to divert traffic to the north side of the existing bridge so the old bridge can be removed and replaced. Traffic could be diverted to the bypass starting at the end of June. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with project completion scheduled for mid-October.
