Woodstock 2000, which will feature rock 'n' roll items from the 1960's era to the present, has opened at 1412 N. Kingsway in Cape Girardeau.
"The store is basically a reflection of the rock 'n' roll era," said Bill Piercey of the family-owned retail business. "We offer everything from T-shirts of Beatles and Jimi Hendrix to current groups."
Also included in the store's inventory are posters, black lights, strobe and party lights, jewelry, tapestries, wall hangings, custom tie-dye clothing, beads, incense and much more.
"We opened a month ago," added Piercey. "Our grand-opening sale is now in progress."
The new business is also a Grateful Dead headquarters.
Piercey's son, Billy, and daughter, Jacky, are also involved in the business.
Piercey was in radio broadcasting 12 years using the name "Bob Holiday." He also worked four years with Ford Groves Motor Co.
